Freebie Friday - New Years Goals

Today I will be giving away Suitcase Ruby and you have until midnight EST on Sunday to post.  The winner will be announced on Monday, January 3rd.

Do you have new goals for this up coming year?  I actually have quite a few goals, but right now I will only be sharing my goals for Sparkle Creations.  Tomorrow, I will share all of my personal goals on my own blog
  1. Sell enough stamps to pay for each release
  2. Attend CHA
  3. Copic Intermediate Certification Class
I'm already booked to attend Winter CHA at the end of January, so I'm very excited to go!  Lisa and Kim will also be there, so it'll be fun to get to meet a few of my DT members in real life!

Paper: Bo Bunny Crush
Stamps: Sparkle Creations, sentiment is Stamping Bella
Prima Flowers, PTI Buttons, Nestabilities, Crystal Stickles, Copics, CB Embossing, Floss, and CTMH Brads

I can't wait to hear all of your new goals and I hope everyone have a fabulous and safe New Years!

Freebie Friday Winner

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas!  I went home to Portland and got to spend time with my family and Brent's family.  While I love seeing my family, it's always nice to be back at home too!

I used Random.org and #11 Terri is the winner for Freebie Friday.  Please email me your address to sparklecreationsrubberstamps@live.com and I will send out your prize soon.

Here is a picture of me and my little brother and sister.  Michael was a bit grumpy, but once we started opening presents, he started to get more into it, lol.  I hope you all have a lovely Monday!

Freebie Friday - What Did You Ask Santa For?

Today I will be giving away a Cruisin' Chloe stamp. You have until Sunday night at midnight EST to post a comment for a chance to win!

So what you did ask Santa for this year?  I asked for a Compressor, so I can airbrush with my Copic markers.  I already do, but this way I won't have to buy cans of air!  I also asked for this Fijifilm Pivi photo printer.  It prints out pictures the size of an ATC.  I hope to be able to make a mini album as I go while I'm attending CHA in January.

And though it's not related to Christmas or Santa at all...here is my cute, fun, and summery Rin card, lol.

I hope you all have a lovely Christmas Eve and the winner will be announced on Monday morning!  Good luck and can't wait to hear what you all asked for!

Happy Birthday Turntable Josh

My friend asked for a guy birthday card, so I thought Josh would be perfect for that and I'm using up my stash!  I'm almost to the end of this paper pack and it's always bittersweet for me. Happpy to have more space for new paper...but sad to not have any more, lol.  And though it's a bit different, I CASEd one of Shaela's cards.

Paper: Basic Grey Origins
Stamps: Sparkle Creations, sentiment is A Muse
Pearls, Copics, and Rhinestones

Well, I hope you all have a lovely Tuesday!  My team is still on Christmas break, but we'll be back with a new Sparkle Creations challenge on January 4th!  I'll be back on Friday with Freebie Friday!

Dashing Through the Snow...

...in a one horse open sleigh...

Brent asked for this card specifically, as his old branch manager is starting to DJ.  Since it's a guy card, I try to keep it simple and I used this fabulous sketch again from Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #99.  I think this will end up being a sketch that I will use many times again and again!

Paper: Basic Grey Jovial
Stamps: Sparkle Creations, sentiment is A Muse

Let It Snow with Rin and Christmas Card Challenges

Up until my wedding (2008), I was really good about making and sending out cards.  That year I made 250 Save the Date cards, wedding invitations, RSVP cards, and thank you cards.  When it came time to make Christmas cards, I panicked and my cards were super rushed!  I vowed to never let that happen again, so that's why I originally started the Christmas Card Challenge blog.

I typically need about 100 cards each year and if I make 2 Christmas cards each week all year long, it's an easy and very stress-free goal to achieve.  I typically mail my cards out at the beginning of each December, so that is why the challenge blog runs from December to December.  If you had been playing along all year, you'd already have your 2010 cards done and ready to start on cards for 2011!

This week's challenge is to make a monochromatic card.  Don't forget to check out the Christmas Card Challenges blog to see the rest of the DT's lovely creations!  I also used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #102 for this.

Paper: Basic Grey Jovial, Memory Box Tinsel
Stamps: Rin and Snowman by Sparkle Creations, sentiment is PTI
Lacey Square Nestabilities, Copics, Rhinestones, PTI Dies, Pearls, and Crystal Stickles

With the new year among us, I always think it's nice to re-cap and go over the rules again.  I am also excited to have Shaela join the team!

The Rules
  • Every Sunday, we're making Christmas cards, so by the first week of December each year, we will have all of our cards already made.
  • Though this challenge blog is owned by Sparkle and her company Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps, you are welcome to use any company's images for these challenges.
  • The only REAL rule is that you must make a new Christmas, Holiday, Hanukkah, or Winter card. The weekly challenges are extra and you can choose to do them or not do them. Easy enough, right?
  • You can adjust the challenges to accommodate however many cards you need for the holiday season. Maybe you need to double up or only make one every other week.
  • You have all week to link your card. We give away prizes for the first challenge of each month. Once you link your card, you'll automatically be entered to win a free stamp from Sparkle Creations. We will randomly draw the winner on the next Saturday at midnight.
I hope you all have a lovely Sunday!  I will be cleaning and crafting in between Sears delivering Brent's new TV and Comcast coming to hook up our new high definition DVR box.

Today we are sponsoring Sketches by Carly!  One player will win cute rubber stamps that will be released on Dec. 11th, Valentine Oliver and Cupid Emily!  Sneak peeks for the next release start next week!

Don't forget to check out the Sketches by Carly blog for the actual sketch and the darling samples that Kristine and Carly made!  I decided to use Cafe Lucy for my card and I am loving this Curio paper!

    Paper: Basic Grey Curio
Stamps: Sparkle Creations, sentiment is PTI
Pearls, Twine, PTI Buttons, Prima Flowers, Washi Tape, and Copics

I hope you all have a fabulous Friday!  It's almost the weekend!  You have until Thursday, Dec. 16th to participate in this challenge!  Good luck and can't wait to see what you all make!

Jingle All the Way With Caroling Josh

Hi all...just peeping in to share another Christmas card I made.  I am just loving the red and black if you couldn't tell.  I also used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #99 for this card.  It's much more simple since it's a guy card.  I tend to embellish a lot, but I love how this card still really pops out without the bling.

    Paper: Basic Grey Jovial
Stamps: Sparkle Creations, sentiment is A Muse
    Nestabilities, Copics, and Rhinestones

Well, I hope you all have a lovely hump day!  Can you believe it's December already?!?
