Freebie Friday - Halloween

Today is Freebie Friday...and I only have a cute Halloween card for ya, lol.  Though I don't have a tutorial to share, I will still be giving away a stamp today.  The prize this week will be Holiday Emily.  You have until Sunday night at midnight to comment and the winner will be announced on Monday with the SCRS Challenge #16 winner.

Here is another card with Broomstick Lucy.  Though Halloween has never been a big holiday for me, I still wanted to make some of my friends some cards.  Brent and I are going out with friends and dressing up this year.  Our friends picked 'animals' as our theme...so Brent is gonna be a gorilla and I'm dressing up as a black cat.

Paper: Basic Grey Eerie
Stamps: Sparkle Creations, sentiment is Amuse
Nestabilities, Copics, Pearls, PTI Buttons, Twine, CTMH Ribbon, and Crystal Stickles

Since we're going out on Saturday, I will be home to pass home out candy to the kiddos on Sunday night.  Now that my neighborhood is almost done being built, I hope to have more trick-or-treaters this year.  What are your Halloween plans?

Halloween Sale and Tis the Season Caroling Josh

With Halloween right around the corner, it's time for a SALE!  All of my FALL stamps are 25% off, which makes them $6 a piece.  I only have a limited quantity of Broomstick Lucy left and once she's sold out, she won't be available til next fall.  So hurry and get her while you still can!  The sale will run through the end of Halloween.

Sadly, today is Piali's last day with us.  Hasn't October just breezed by?  But we have been so honored to have her as our October Guest Designer and she's just been fabulous!  Here is her darling card for yesterday's inspiration challenge.  I just love the row of snowflakes at the bottom!

Mercy Kerin will be our Guest Designer for November, so you all will be in for a treat!  I hope you all have a great hump day!

Freebie Friday - Felt Spiral Flowers

I've seen these fun spiral felt flowers around blog land for awhile and it's been on my list to make.  I found this super easy tutorial on my friend Yvonne's blog and decided to finally give it a try.  Today's prize is Cruisin' Chloe.

I know MFT makes a die now that can do this, but I did mine with stuff I already had.  I made my original circles with my Nestabilities.  I used 3 different sizes.  Then I just cut the spiral by hand.  Since you roll up the flower, you can't really tell that it's not cut perfect.  I just glued mine with Liquid Glass.

Paper: Basic Grey Eerie
Stamps: Sparkle Creations, sentiment is Amuse
Rhinestones, Copics, Felt, Pearls, and Crystal Stickles

You have until Sunday night at midnight to comment and the winner will be announced on Monday with the SCRS Challenge #15 winner.  Do you have a good source for good felt?  While I like the PTI and Impress felt, I would like to have more colors.  Good luck and everyone have a great Friday!

Sunny Rin with Snowman

Here is Piali's card this week for our anything winter challenge. I just love how she colored Rin's umbrella yellow and accented the snow!

So have you even thought about the holidays yet? I'm normally a person who doesn't do Christmas til after Thanksgiving. I do make cards year round, but I do all my shopping on Black Friday and then I'm done! :)

Everyone have a fabulous hump day!

Freebie Friday - Paper Flower Tutorial

I'm really sorry that life has been busy and I fell off the wagon.  But I'm trying to get things back on track and I have another fun tutorial and prize for you.  Today's prize is Broomstick Lucy.  I always feel like Halloween and Fall cards get lost in the shuffle due to all of us worrying about our Christmas cards.  And I'm totally guilty of this, lol.

While I was poking around on Splitcoast, I randomly came upon this flower tutorial.  It's making more demensional flowers with the prima flowers you already have.  Well, you all must know how much I {heart} Prima flowers by now, so I just had to try this out.

Here is Nicole Aspinall's fabulous tutorial.  She has pictures and easy step-by-step instructions written in her blog post.  I decided to actually use 2 different colors when I made mine and I love how they turned out.

Paper: Pink Paislee Bayberry Cottage
Stamps: Sparkle Creations, sentiment is Kraftin' Kimmie
MS Border Punch, Copics, Prima Flowers, Rhinestones, and Crystal Stickles

You have until Sunday night at midnight to comment and the winner will be announced on Monday with the SCRS Challenge #14 winner.  Do you love flowers on your cards?  Prima ones?  Felt ones?  Have any other fun tips or tutorials?  Good luck and everyone have a fabulous Friday...it's almost the weekend!

Clean and Simple Ruby

Here is Piali's darling card for yesterday's challenge.  Isn't her coloring just gorgeous?!?  And I love how she did the sentiment on the bottom.  I'm so happy to have Piali as part of the team this month.

So how are you all doing with your Christmas cards so far?  I'm about half way done, since I stopped making cards a few months ago.  I typically make cards year round, but with opening the store this year, it set me back a bit...but I will be done with my cards by December 1st...
