Surfing Oliver

Just a reminder, everything in the store is 10% off through August 1st.  The code is VAC10SALE.  You can click here to buy stamps now!

Though this is pet paper pack, I just love the rich colors in it.  A more simple type of card for me, but I tend to do that with my guy cards.  I really like how my distressed edges turned out though.  I also used Skipping Stones Design Sketch #34 for this.

Paper: Basic Grey Max and Whiskers
Stamps: Sparkle Creations, sentiment is Amuse
Copics, Nestabilities, PTI Buttons, Twine, and Rhinestones

Everyone have a great Saturday!  Today I will be hiking and seeing the Old Faithful Geyser.

Sketch Saturday #113 and Cocktail Emily

It's my boss's birthday next Saturday. I will be in Yellowstone and she will be in Kansas helping her parents move.  With everyone's vacation plans, Monday is going to be the only day that ALL of us will be there for the next 3 weeks.  So, we're celebrating early, lol.  I always get out of getting the cake by making the card. :)

My boss is an orange fan, so I decided to use fun and bright citrus colors.  Though picking grey was probably counter productive.  I guess it's the explanation of a Seattle summer in a nutshell, lol.  I also used Sketch Saturday #113 for this.

Paper: Basic Grey Sugar Rush
Stamps: Sparkle Creations, sentiment is Amuse
Impress Felt, Prima Flowers, PTI Buttons, Rhinestones, Copics, and Crystal Stickles

Don't forget, you still have til the end of tomorrow to enter our contest this week!  I hope you all have a great Saturday!  I am getting my hair done and shopping for new shorts!

Announcement and Cupcake Ruby for Catherine

First off, I want to let you all know that I will be on vacation July 27th through August 1st.  Though I won't be home to ship orders, I will still have internet access.  All orders that are placed during that time, will ship out on Tuesday, August 3rd.  I have taken Monday, August 2nd off from my day job, so I will be home packaging all of your orders!

Today is my best friend's birthday. Sadly, she is in Washington, DC and I am in Seattle, but I hope she has a wonderful celebration.  I haven't seen her since New Years...and unfortunately, I don't think I'll see her til next summer - as I plan on going to CHA. :)   Here is a picture of me, Catherine, and our friend/sorority sister Katie.

I decided to use Cupcake Ruby for Catherine's card.  I almost never color my images with blonde hair, but I like how she turned out.  I also used Taylored Expressions Sketch #121 for this.

Paper: Basic Grey Nook and Pantry
Stamps: Sparkle Creations, sentiment is AmyR Stamps
Nestabilities, Copics, Prima Flowers, Pearls, EK Success Border Punch, and Crystal Stickles

Everyone have a great Thursday!

Sketch Saturday #112 - Charlotte with a Rose

Today I'm playing along with Sketch Saturday #112. Lisa has a gorgeous Sparkle Creations card too as their guest designer for the month!

Sadly, this is only my second card using my Capella paper.  I just tend to think of Charlotte being more elegant I suppose.  So what do think of my photo?  On my work laptop I run CS4, so I have the full hefty Photoshop on there.  When Brent and I got the new computer, I put Elements on it.  I will say it's been hard to re-vert to not a full version, lol.

Paper: Basic Grey Capella
Stamps: Sparkle Creations, sentiment is Amuse
Twine, Nestabilities, Pearls, Copics, Crystal Stickles, Prima Flowers, and PTI Buttons

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.  My BIL and his wife are up here from Portland.  We're going to the Bite of Seattle!

I Spy...Something Pretty

As I was reading my Google reader...lookie what I found?!? Isn't she just so pretty?  Elena made this card with the goodies she won from the first preview week.  Click here if you want to see her original post.  I still have yet to figure out why Prima named this paper set Peaches, lol.

And just as a reminder...there are still a couple of prizes that haven't been claimed.  Please click here to see the list of winners.  Well, I hope you all have a lovely hump day!  What other paper pack names do you think are weird?

Cupcake Ruby and Stephanie Kraft

The store opens at midnight Eastern Time tonight!  We have a fun blog hop filled with prizes planned for you, so make sure you come back tomorrow for all the fun and excitement!

First I want to tell you a bit about the shop when you go shopping tomorrow.  I put ALL the stamps for the release are under the New Products link.  For August's release, I'll move them into their own categories.  I will be selling all of my images for $8 USD a piece. All of the images are 'about' 3 x 4 inches.

Today, I would like to introduce you to my Design Team Coordinator, Stephanie.  I have admired her work for a long time and I know you all will love her classy and beautiful cards!  I am so happy to her be a part of my team!

Stephanie took up scrapbooking for a brief time in the mid-1990s while she worked in the computer industry. She had a renewed interest in the hobby shortly after the birth of her daughter in 2003. Five years later as a stay-at-home Mom, she discovered the world of stamping blogs and found that she was spending more and more time being inspired by others but creating nothing herself. She created a blog of her own in September 2008 with the thought that it would motivate her to create artwork more regularly. Since then, rarely a day goes by that she doesn't get inky! Though she loves scrapbooking and preserving family memories, her current passion is in making cards and handmade gifts. She also enjoys photography, cooking and spending time with friends and family. Stephanie currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona with her very supportive (and tolerant of her hobby/obsession) husband of 10 years and 7-year-old daughter.

Isn't her Cupcake Ruby card just precious?!?  I love all the glam and pearls!  Everyone have a fabulous Friday!  See you tomorrow for the grand opening and blog hop!

Lantern Rin and Simonne Clays

Just a quick reminder...the store opens on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at midnight Eastern Time.  We're having a huge blog hop filled with prizes, so you won't want to miss out this weekend!

Simonne and I have been blog buddies for quite awhile and I am so excited to have her on my team. She always does such gorgeous work and I know you will love all that she brings to the team!

I am a born-and-bred British gal who travelled to the other side of the world one Summer for a 2 week holiday, unexpectedly met the love of my life and... stayed!  After an idyllic spell of living in 'the land of the long white cloud' (NZ), we are now back in the UK enjoying everyday family life with our wonderful 8 year old daughter.  I'm lucky enough to be a SAHM during the day, but I have been teaching the piano privately since I graduated in 1996 with an honors degree in music.  The piano has always been my main passion in life ever since I started lessons when I was 5 years old, however ... crafting and stamping crept into my life in December 2008 and I been well and truly hooked ever since!  I am so thankful to be on several design teams, but I was blown away when I was invited to be on this DT and so honored to be part of this new adventure!

Isn't she just gorgeous?!?  I love this color combo Simonne picked out and her violet eyes!  Plus, green is my favorite color!  Also check out Aki's blog to see another sneak peek of Lantern Rin.  Everyone have a fabulous Thursday!  Big Brother starts tonight!

Swimming Lucy and Mary Giles

First, I want to let you all know that the {Shipping} and {FAQs} links have been updated.  As for shipping, I can fit 8 stamps into the small priority box or envelope.  Anything more then that, it's gonna have to go into the bigger box or you can choose First Class if it doesn't weigh over the mailing limit.  I am running a special this weekend for the grand opening so this will be excluded from that, but typically if you choose to ship First Class, I will not be responsible for your package after it has been mailed.

I have known Mary for a while now and we first met at The Greeting Farm when we both became Gardeners! I love how Mary colors with Copics and I know you all will just 'ooh' and 'ahh' over her awesome coloring skills! I am so happy to have Mary be a part of the team!

My name is Mary Giles and my life is my husband and 4 year old daughter. My sanity and outlet is stamping. By day I'm an enginerd and by night I grab my copics to unwind. I've been seriously stamping for 2.5 years and have made many life long friendships along the way. I love designer papers and cute stamps to color. My style is pretty much clean lines an minimal embellishments. I try to let the image and the papers do the talking. I'm VERY slow putting a card together because I tend to over analyze everything...which might explain why I'm embellishment impaired. That would just be another variable into the equation. LOL. I'm super excited for Sparkle and her new journey. I'm also happy to be part of her first DT.

I just love all the pink on this and the matching inside!  This is just adorable and Mary did a fabulous job!  Plus, she gets brownie points for using my favorite embellishments, lol...gotta love the flowers and bling! 3 more days til the store opens!  Have a fabulous hump day!

Cupcake Ruby and Lisa Hjulberg

Lisa and I met while on the design team for La-la Land Crafts. I just adore her cute and whimsical style! I am very excited to have her on the team and I know you all will love her darling cards.

Hi, my name is Lisa! I'm married to a wonderful guy who is a University golf coach. We have four sons, ages 25, 22, 17 and 13, who are the lights of our lives. With all that maleness around me, I treasure my time paper crafting. I've been scrapbooking and stamping for more than ten years, and love it more and more as time goes by. I also enjoy quilting, crocheting and embroidery. Once upon a time I did a lot of reading, but now I seem to always have designer paper in my hands instead of paper books. I was overjoyed when Sparkle invited me to be a part of her inaugural design team! Her adorable images are just my cup of tea. I look forward to sharing them with you and making new friends through this wonderful new adventure.

Isn't Ruby just darling all in red?!?  I just love this!  Lisa did a wonderful job with her!  I hope you all have a fabulous Tuesday...it's back to work for me!

Lantern Rin and Laurel Seabrook

I would like to introduce you to Laurel Seabrook today. I've known Laurel for quite some time now. We first met by being CTMH consultants and we've stayed great blogging buddies.  I'm very excited to have her on the team and I know you will all love her work as well.

I am married with 2 girls ages 15 and 12. I teach grade 1 full time and my hobbies are paper crafting (especially card making and scrapping), photography, blogging and painting. Although the job and family life keeps me busy I try to make time for myself daily by going for a run and of course playing in my craft room. I have recently been published in CARDS, Scrapbook Trends magazine, Scrapbook Trends Idea book, and in a future Paper Crafts magazine. I have been Guest Designer for Inspirational Card Sketches, Etsy Inspired, Sketch Girl and am currently on the Design Team for Get Sketchy, The Scrappiest, Schlosser Designs, Scrap-Mart, Scrap Shotz and Our Creative Corner. My passion right now is anything using paper. My girls are the inspiration for my scrapping, of which I am trying to do more of but I tend to do more card making as I love how quick, easy and satisfying they are... not to mention I am addicted to Challenges and participate in as many as I can!!!

Isn't this Lantern Rin card just darling?!?  I love how she paper pieced her outfit together!  Such a lovely combo of colors and prints!  Everyone have a fabulous Monday...I'm off today for the holiday!

Today I am sponsoring Sketch Saturday! Simonne and Lisa have lovely cards showing off Swimming Lucy!  If you play along with Sketch Saturday this week, you could win Surfing Oliver and Charlotte with a Rose!

First I have to apologize for posting so late.  Launching Canada and teaching a class in Las Vegas on top of trying to get my store open, I've just been running behind.  I hope with it being a 3 day weekend I can get all caught up!  I really appreciate all of your support and patience so far!

So while this Emily doesn't look anything like my sister, lol, I'm glad to have a character named after her.  Though she's only 4, I know she'll be just as sassy as this one!

Paper: Basic Grey Olivia
Stamps: Sparkle Creations, sentiment is PTI
Prima Flowers, Pearls, Crystal Stickles, Copics, and CB Embossing

My Sunshine Surfing Oliver

Thanks for sharing all of your favorite flowers!  I used random.org and #33 Jessica is my winner!  I will send out Charlotte with a Rose to you soon!

Nothing to do with my card or Sparkle Creations, but I'm going to see Eclipse tonight! Out of the 4 books, this one was my favorite and the most action packed. Though I will admit I'm not crazy into it like others, I am excited to see it and have fun with some friends. Alice has always been my favorite, so I'm not really Team Edward or Team Jacob.

Today I am giving away Surfing Oliver. Included with the Surfing Oliver stamp is 6 sheets of Sassafras Applejack paper, 20 mixed matching buttons, 3 feet of matching ribbon, 8 matching Prima flowers, and the card that I have created. I also used Paper Romance Sketch Challenge #1 for this.

Paper: Sassafras Applejack
Stamps: Sparkle Creations, sentiment is Amuse
Copics, BG Buttons, and Washi Tape

You have until midnight tonight to tell me if you're Team Edward, Team Jacob, or maybe that you just don't care, lol.  I will randomly choose a lucky winner! Good luck!
