Freebie Friday - Paper Flower Tutorial

I'm really sorry that life has been busy and I fell off the wagon.  But I'm trying to get things back on track and I have another fun tutorial and prize for you.  Today's prize is Broomstick Lucy.  I always feel like Halloween and Fall cards get lost in the shuffle due to all of us worrying about our Christmas cards.  And I'm totally guilty of this, lol.

While I was poking around on Splitcoast, I randomly came upon this flower tutorial.  It's making more demensional flowers with the prima flowers you already have.  Well, you all must know how much I {heart} Prima flowers by now, so I just had to try this out.

Here is Nicole Aspinall's fabulous tutorial.  She has pictures and easy step-by-step instructions written in her blog post.  I decided to actually use 2 different colors when I made mine and I love how they turned out.

Paper: Pink Paislee Bayberry Cottage
Stamps: Sparkle Creations, sentiment is Kraftin' Kimmie
MS Border Punch, Copics, Prima Flowers, Rhinestones, and Crystal Stickles

You have until Sunday night at midnight to comment and the winner will be announced on Monday with the SCRS Challenge #14 winner.  Do you love flowers on your cards?  Prima ones?  Felt ones?  Have any other fun tips or tutorials?  Good luck and everyone have a fabulous Friday...it's almost the weekend!

Beautiful card and gorgeous flowers!!
In fact, I'm no good at using flowers on my cards... But that doesn't mean that I don't like flowers - 'coz I LOVE 'em! I'm just no good at making them look fantastic on my cards.. I need someone to teach me, I guess!! *lol*

Lots of love, Randi WS

Those flowers are fab. I love flowers of all kinds. Lately I have been making my own roses from spirals of paper. It's addicting.

I just love this broomstick lucy! Adorable. I don't use flowers on my cards very often. I'm not sure why because I do love them. Most of my cards get mailed and I suppose they get crushed.

I probably add more flowers to my cards than I do ribbons or any other embellishment. There's just something about a flower that makes people smile. Prima flowers are so very beautiful! And I have a pattern for crochet flowers that I use all the time as well. Fabulous tutorial! Thanks so much for sharing it with us!

Your card is so pretty. The flowers look great. Looks like an intersting tutorial. I'll have to check it out.

I like flowers, just find myself not using them very often. I wonder why.

Oh, I came over here and see the link. Great, thanks for sharing it. I like the idea of using flowers, have a bunch of them and then I don't use them. LOL

Broomstick Lucy is super cute. I don't make too many Halloween or Christmas cards, but I do like Fall cards. Goofy huh? LOL

I love the look of flowers on cards, but I don't seem to be very good at placing them...especially the dimensional ones. I will have to check out the link tho, so I can use up some of all those flat ones I've collected :)

Beautiful card! I love using flowers and like making my own also. I think they add to card....but hate the extra postage when I use some of the 'thicker' ones! LOLp

Such a cute card and fun flowers! I'm not a huge fan of flowers because of their bulk and because I'm somewhat challenged in how to use them on my cards! lol

How fun, love the flowers! I have tons of flowers of all types but I have started using my Copics to color and add texture to them, or I just use white and use the airbrush to paint them the exact colour I want.
