My Stamp Illustrator

Wow, thanks for sharing all of your wonderful goals with me!  I am so inspired by all of you!  I used random.org and my winner is #76 Jessica.  Please email me your address to sparklecreationsrubberstamps@live.com and I will mail out Turntable Josh to you soon!

Today, I am introducing you to Aki, who is my wonderful artist. I just love her cutesy and whimsical style! Hasn't she done a terrific job on my stamps?!? I am so happy to be working with such a talented lady!

Aki Fukuoka was born in Japan and at the age of eight, she immigrated with her family of seven to New Zealand. After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree Aki now lives in Auckland and works as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer. She enjoys spending her days working on variety of projects, including illustration and graphic design, painting, following stray cats, hugging trees and eating chocolate.

She is an published illustrator and her past work includes children's books, journals, editorials, advertising materials, identity designs, interior design and designs for stationary.

Today I am giving away Lantern Rin. Included with the Lantern Rin stamp is 5 sheets of Prima Peaches paper, 20 mixed matching buttons, 3 feet of matching ribbon, 8 matching Prima flowers, and the card that I have created. I also used Clean and Simple Layout #93 for this.

Paper: Prima Peaches
Stamps: Sparkle Creations
MS Butterfly Punches, Crystal Stickles, Washi Tape, Rhinestones, and Copics

You have until midnight tonight to tell me what inspires you to create. I will randomly choose a lucky winner! Good luck!

Lantern Rin is adorable! Love her traditional clothing and love the complimentary red and green on the card!!

As for what inspires me, I think I'm most inspired by other creative people. I love to look at other crafty people's blogs and get ideas or go to saturday markets, or craft fairs. As I type this I'm getting ready for a card workshop that's happening tomorrow evening after work, and I must say my inspiration is dwindling as the clock ticks away, ugh.

I <3 your new stamps Sparks!!! :)

I'm inspired by paper, magazines, idea books, and more! I can't narrow it down to just one thing.

Good luck!

OMG, she is a darling. Too cute!!!
I am inspried by my friends and family. Because I am(in Canada studying) so far away from home(HongKong); everytime I create something, I have my love ones on my mind. I guess memories insprie me too =)

Hugs,
Noreen

Gorgeous again - so different too. As for inspiration for myself - an image, some colours & I just can't not now I've discovered my medium - it's colours & the satisfaction of actually creating & seeing how the colours bounce off each other & change with different combinations.

Another fabulous new image! As for inspiration - it generally comes from the event for which the card is made and from all all the blogs I visit daily!

My inspiration comes from the reactions of those receiving my handmade goodies. I love seeing the joy that comes when someone sees that I have taken the time to craft some one of a kind work of love just for them. Man, that is a cool feeling!

Amber said...

Oh she is just adorable! I love her hair clip and sweet shoes! Gotta have her!

Thank you for sharing details of the artist creating your work. She is very talented indeed. Look forward to seeing more of your work. What inspires me to work, is it is my passion, new products or magazines inspire me to craft. And seeing talented peoples work like yourself, also inspire me to work.

Lantern Rin is too cute! Congrats on starting your own store Sparkle!! I can't wait to buy some of them :)

There are a couple things that inspire me to create. First is seeing all of the awesome creations made by everyone else. I love visiting everyone's blogs to see what they have made. Secondly, my daughter. Everything I do is because of her. She brings light to my life and makes me smile every day :)

Sparkle, I am just so happy for you!! Your email is the first one I open now so I can see your new stamps! :-D OK, so I am inspired by people like YOU! I love the entrepreneurial spirit and freedom. Art seems to mimic these qualities for me. So anything that is oddly beautiful, out of the box, quirky seems to inspire me. :-D

Many things inspire me to create, my most recent inspiration was your Christmas Card Challenge. I had a lot of fun designing my Elvis "Blue Christmas" Christmas card & I would have never done it without your inspiration.

Vicki Wizniuk said...

Many, many things inspire me to create. Sometimes I see another creation that inspires me, sometimes it might be a stamp image, and other times it's sparked by beautiful paper and embellishments... every day is new and different in my creative world!
Wow, Sparkle, I'd be honored to win! :)

SHE IS PERFECT! She is my fave so far Sparkle! Wow - your card is fantastic and I love the colors you chose!

So many things inspire me that I am always walking around with ideas in my head and not enough time to make them happen - books, stories, everyday life, quotes, other people's beautiful creations....the list goes on and on. Thank goodness I have no shortage of inspiration at hand!

Oooh!! This is delightful! As a cartoonist/illustrator I am really inspired by others, plus vintage findings. As a scrapbooker, I am inspired by the photos themselves, followed by the colours and patterned papers... I also like to be inspired by my mood too! :D

Thanks for this opportunity!! :D

She is too cute!
What inspires me is the thought of giving a project to someone else and hoping it makes them as happy as it made me to make it.

What a sweet stamp! I'm inspired by of all things the weather! If it's a sunny day I find myself reaching for bright and cheerful papers to creat with. If there's a storm brewing I go dark and distressed. If it's snowing, I tend to reach for warm colors. And around dusk I tend to create vintage cards.

Linda said...

She is fabulous!!

I am inspired when I read blogs, see beautiful fabrics, by holidays, magazines, etc. Sometimes I'm so overloaded with inspiration I don't know what to do! :)

congrats to you!

Aw...she's adorable.

I would say that other peoples blogs & magazines are always an inspiration. Then I'll see random outfits on my bus ride and think the color combo would make a cool color scheme.

Adorable image and card Sparkle! What inspires me to craft...usually an occasion or a person that I want to make something for. I have a hard time crafting just to craft. :)

Shaela said...

wow, your card looks great! That patterned paper and the washi tape are just perfect with Rin. :) Hmmm... my inspiration usually comes from the stamps or the paper I'm working with. Boring, I know, haha. I guess some of it also comes from whoever I'm making the card for. I always like to make something extra special for my friends and family, and I like to mix and match stamps and ideas to go along with their personalities. :)

What inspires me to create...? Usually I'll see something when blog hopping that makes me go "oh I love that!" or sometimes I just dig through my paper and find something that I *lost* and everything comes together...or sometimes I just see a color combination in my day to day stuff that makes me go to my desk. The main thing that inspires me to create is life itself. There are so many things around that just spark my mind with ideas, whether it be colors, sayings, sounds, smells or feelings, they all make me want to put it on paper and show it to the world. Its a great way of letting people into my world and I love it!!

She's such a doll! I love that lantern and those shoes!

For me sometimes just the need to create something drives me. I have a compulsive desire to be productive each day, meaning I need to have some physically visual representation of an accomplishment, whether it's creating something artistic like a scrapbook page, or reorganizing all the books on a shelf, hehe. If I'm not making something, I'm reorganizing.
